Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – April 6, 2018
Becky’s March month of Squares Challenge. Her rules are:
Today, the prompt is “FABRIC” I just wonder how do you know what I am thinking in my subconscious mind. All the Prompts until now are just what I am going through or I am thinking about. Restart, Congregate, Messy, Imagination and Above, all these words I am living every day, I think maybe we all are living all these words in real life, together. Ok, hmmm, so today the prompt is fabric, I came to know about this in the morning and now its afternoon. Although I already thought about my theme and story, at actual writing time, now I am feeling a change in my article.
In general FABRIC is referred to a woven piece, a cloth, also used in relation to construction building type stuff.
FABRIC as in cloth has been changed its material and type in past generations. Originally the fabric was created with only natural things. The outer layer of silkworms and from cotton. These are the two basic materials used to create the fabric called Silk and Cotton for ages. Now as the demand increased the fake material took a big place in the market which is cheap as compared to Cotton and Silk. But it can be produced in mass, with use of machines and new techniques. The world has changed and use of this fake material is in big demand. The fake is neither a very good choice for us nor for nature. Still, the use is on an increase. Mahatma Gandhi during the freedom fight encouraged Khadi, a fabric which is made by spinning wheel.
If we talk about the fabrication of our own sensibility, construction of our own society, we live in a fake world today. The originally fabricated societies emotions are somewhere in the background, they are just trailing, and soon they will die completely. We are on a verge, where we are destructing our true nature. It has become hard to come up with a true emotion in front of someone. We all are hiding our feelings, trying to showcase what we are not. We smile, we laugh we show empathy but we hide the truth wearing a mask on our face. The reason behind hiding the truth is we don’t trust anyone What would they say, what would they think, how would they react are the wringers we get in our mind before expressing ourselves. We change the original with fake and avoid any inquiries.
This is the time to call for getting back to our roots and nurture them to fabricate a healthy self and society. I know after closing my laptop I will be wearing all those fake cloths again! 🙂
It is in his pleasure that a man really lives; it is from his leisure that he constructs the true fabric of self. -Agnes Repplier
Messy, there is a mess all around me at this point in time, and instead of organizing the mess I am writing this post. I promise to myself I will organize it after writing this.
This is from one of my housemaid I had, and what she used to tell me about this incidence. Now I don’t meet her but talk to her over the phone.
She is going through a big mess in her life. After 8 years of marriage, her past came into the picture. Her husband came to know that she had a boyfriend before their wedding. Now he is doubtful that she might be seeing him even now, and he is not aware of all this for last 8 years. She has three kids the youngest is 2 years. She remained busy with her family kids husband and her own poor health all these years. Many times she tried to convince her husband that she is not having an affair with anyone, and it was her past, before marriage. The doubt in his brain has made it a messy thing, he is not ready to understand.
She has been doing everything for the family, without taking care of herself. All these years nobody noticed her sleepless nights, dark circles under her eyes and her messy hairs. No one noticed, her efforts to overcome their low-income status, what struggle she was having to have happy kids and healthy family. Now its even worse, she is under doubt all the time (24 hours). Still, she is worried about her kids, she wants to retain her marriage as being more family oriented. She has left her job just to convince her husband that she has no affair.
I call her sometimes only, as her husband doubts even on phone calls, keeps a check to whom she is talking.
I just wonder how is it possible that sometimes your past can mess up all your present and future. Right now she is having a really messy life, what a stress she might be going on. I feel her pain, she can’t even share it with anybody now, as she is almost captive in her own house. I pray that she comes out of this difficult time and enjoy her life again.
Let the past go, don’t be chaotic and messy with your present life.
What a word, it seems this belongs to me I am on a restart of my life for last some time. I have restarted my painting, poetry, photography, and blogging which I tried to do nine years back and got busy with kids, and blogging took back seat. Recently, we moved to a new country, and start a fresh, another restart!
Let’s restart all over again,
Let’s be unknown to whatever we have known,
Let’s be strangers again,
Let’s not have expectations,
Let’s restart without being mean,
Let’s restart all over again! –H.P. Kahin
