Quote Challenge

A Teacher a Philosopher revisited from the past– Aristotle

My heartiest Greetings to you!!

My dear friend Kranti tagged me for this wonderful challenge, sometime back. Thank you so much, Kranti for thinking of me and nominating me for this wonderful Tag “Ancient Authors”.

Your blog sparkklingthoughts is wonderful indeed, and your posts are really thought-provoking and sparkling.✨

I have chosen the philosopher who laid the foundation of western philosophy with Socrates and Plato, the Ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle.

Aristotle, whose name means “the best purpose”.

Aristotle (c. 384 B.C. to 322 B.C.) was a philosopher and scientist who is still considered one of the greatest thinkers in politics, psychology, and ethics. At the age of 17, he enrolled in the renowned Plato’s Academy, and for twenty years he studied with Plato. In 338, he began tutoring Alexander the Great. In 335, Aristotle founded his own school, the Lyceum, in Athens, where he spent most of the rest of his life studying, teaching and writing. Some of his most notable works include Nichomachean EthicsPoliticsMetaphysicsPoetics and Prior Analytics.

Some of my favorite quotes:

What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.

Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.

RULES

1 Choose the author or philosopher (it should be one from the Ancient Time). Don’t know anyone? Google it. It shouldn’t be so hard.

2 Choose 3 quotes from this author/philosopher. The country of origin – doesn’t matter (Egypt, Greece… Italy). Add any info or explanation if you like.

3 Share those quotes and nominate 3 to 6 people. (Oops, that’s not obligatory)

4 The title of the post? Choose something cool. I know you are smart enough.

I am tagging you, dear friend! 🙂 (No obligation though)

It would be great if you join this tag, but I totally understand if you cannot take it right now!!

Come let’s enjoy some ancient philosophy!!

Feelings, Hindi, Hindi-Urdu Poetry, Jazbaat, Poetry

Let us do it-कुछ तुम कहो…

Finally, this one is getting published, it was in drafts for some time!

Chalo yuun kar lein,
Kuch tum kaho, kuch hum kahein,
Kuch batein hon phoolon ki,
Kuch batein usoolon ki,
Kuch khoye sapane dhoonde,
Kuch khoye apne dhoonde,
Chalo, Chalo yuun kar lein,
Kuch tum suno, kuch hum bhi sunein,
Wo chaand adhaa sa, kehta hai Kya,
Chalo aaj baat, uski poori toh sunein,
Alfaaz bhi jo na keh paayein ahsaas wo,
Aao ek duje ki dhadkano mein sune,
Chalo yuun kar lein,
Jazbaat apne, apne apno, se kahein,
Chalo yuun kar lein,
Kuch tum kaho, kuch hum sune,
Kuch tum suno, kuch hum kahein!!

Let’s we do it,
You say something,
I will say something too,
Some talks about flowers or about our ethics,
Let’s discuss some lost dreams,
And some of the lost dear ones,

Come on, let’s do it,
You listen to some, some I will listen,
That glorious half Moon is saying something,
Let’s hear the complete story tonight,
Feelings which are yet untold,
Let’s try to hear those in our heartbeats,

Come on, let’s do it,
Let us share our emotions, with our friends today,
Let us do it, come let’s do it,
You say something, I will hear,
I will say something,  you please hear!!
